Description: The University of Houston’s College of Optometry seeks candidates for non-tenure track, open rank, clinical faculty at the rank of Clinical Assistant, Associate or Full Professor.
Candidates should have broad clinical experience and a desire to join a dynamic and growing program committed to student success. - Pediatrics, binocular vision, strabismus, and amblyopia
- Neuro-optometric care and vision rehabilitation
- Anterior segment disease management including dry eye conditions and ocular surface disease
- Sports vision, vision therapy, and visual performance
Clinical Science Department faculty are responsible for patient care, clinical education, academic service, and scholarship related to their program area. Teaching experience related to evidence-based clinical practice and familiarity with inter-professional collaborative practice settings is preferred.

Qualifications Successful applicants must have an OD degree and should have completed a residency/fellowship program or have equivalent relevant clinical, academic, or other experience. Applicants should have experience with clinical teaching and mentoring. Successful candidates must be eligible for optometric licensure in the state of Texas.
