The College of Optometry at Nova Southeastern University is a private and accredited academic institution located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, with over 30 years of academic excellence. Full time faculty positions are open at the instructor, assistant professor, associate professor, and full professor level for individuals with experience in the following areas: primary care/ocular disease, pediatrics/binocular vision, contact lenses, low vision, and other specialties.

Candidates must have a Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree. Preference may be given to applicants with residency education, additional degrees (MS, MPH, PhD), or extensive academic or clinical experience.
Comprehensive knowledge of the information and skills needed to diagnose, manage, and treat ocular injuries, eye diseases, and the visual system.
Education and Training – General knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects.
English Language - Thorough knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
Customer and Personal Service - General knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of user satisfaction.
