This Faculty position encompasses clinical lab and didactic teaching in the area of Binocular Vision, Vision Therapy, and Acquired Brain Injury/Traumatic Brain Injury. The position reports to the Dean or designee.Responsibilities: Teach in the vision therapy, binocular vision and ABI/TBI curriculum as assigned by the Associate Dean for Academic Programs Prepare educational materials for the assigned laboratories and classroom presentations Serve as a clinical preceptor in primary care, vision therapy, binocular vision and special populations including ABI/TBI. Contribute to scholarship and research to enhance the educational process and/or improving patient care outcomes Participate in departmental and community service activities Work collaboratively with faculty colleagues to enhance student learning and the delivery of quality patient care Be responsive to student needs and demonstrate the ability and interest to serve as a mentorAdditional responsibilities may be assigned by the supervisor(s).Rank is commensurate with education and experience.Qualifications:Required: OD from an accredited institution Residency certificate in Binocular Vision, Vision Therapy, Pediatric Optometry Eligible for optometric licensure in Massachusetts Demonstrated knowledge and skills to successfully undertake the faculty assignments and responsibilities as listedMCPHS offers a competitive salary and excellent benefits that includes a substantial contribution toward the cost of medical and dental insurance, generous time off benefits, and a significant pension plan contribution.
