Tusculum University is currently seeking faculty for its College of Health Sciences – Optometry Program. Candidates should be passionate and experienced regarding classroom and clinical instruction. Through education, training, and mentoring, faculty members will provide students with the knowledge and confidence they need to succeed at the highest level of professional optometric serves. These positions will be responsible for course preparation which will include lecture and laboratory presentations as well as student testing and evaluation, participating in and recommending curriculum development and evaluation, providing tutoring and office hours for students as needed, traditional scholarly activity and University service, and provide health care to patients at the Tennessee College of Optometry clinics.

Minimum requirements include an O.D. and/or Ph.D. (or equivalent) in a discipline related to optometry or its associated basic sciences. Optometrist applicants should be eligible for licensure in the state of Tennessee and are expected to participate in patient care services. The successful applicant will have excellent organization, communication, teaching and decision-making skills. Prior college teaching experience is strongly preferred. Must be able to travel between different locations and/or clinical sites as needed
