The School of Optometry invites applications for a faculty position for a skilled educator and clinician in the area of Contact Lens and Primary Care to participate in didactic, laboratory, and clinical teaching as well as patient care. Faculty engage in scholarly activity, including research that may result in publications, and provide service within the School and the University as well as to the community and to the profession.
Provide instruction of cornea and contact lens courses in the curriculum
Teach in class, lab and clinic in areas that focus on contact lens, management and treatment. Additional teaching assignments in primary care Optometry will be assigned
Scholarship and research
Rank is commensurate with education and experience.
Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the supervisor.
Residency certificate in Cornea and Contact Lenses
Eligibility for optometric licensure in the state of Massachusetts
Commitment to the training of future clinicians
Desire to work with a team of faculty
Knowledge and skills in all aspects of cornea and contact lens
